ID Card Services
Congratulations on becoming a Banana Slug! Your first student ID card is FREE! If you submitted your photo through CloudCard by September 1, and you received an email stating it was approved, your card will be ready for you:

  • If you are living on campus, your ID card will be waiting for you when you check-in on your move-in day.
  • If you are living off campus, your ID card will be at the ID Card Services Office located on the second floor of the Bay Tree Campus Store beginning September 19. Check the ID Cards Services website for hours of operation.

If you did not submit a photo by September 1, you can pick up your card on or after October 7 (once you submit your photo and after your photo gets approved) at ID Card Services. If you have yet to submit your photo, please go to the Photo Upload Instructions page then follow the photo submission guidelines. Please Note: You will need a government-issued photo ID, along with your UCSC Student ID number, to pick up your student ID at ID Card Services. 

Native Student Orientation (New, Returning, Transfer and Graduate)

The American Indian Resource Center (AIRC) at UCSC is dedicated to increasing native visibility and works in the areas of indigenous paradigm shifts, traditional knowledge, intergenerational leadership and activities, indigenous justice and sustainable communities. The Center supports both scholarship and programs in this area. This project meets our goals by offering cultural resources and support to indigenous students as they adjust to a new social and academic climate. Students also learn about internship positions with our resource center, supporting our goal of increasing intergenerational leadership opportunities.

  • September 18, 2024 6:00 PM-9:00 PM at the Ethnic Resource Center Lounge
  • September 19-20, 2024, 9:30 AM-3:00 PM at the Bay Tree BookStore, 3rd Floor in the Cervantes and Velasquez Conference Room

Details: 

  • On Wednesday 09/18, we will kick off the week with an AIRC team meet & greet, watch a movie, and play board games together with dinner and refreshments.  
  • Our main program will be held on Thursday 09/19 from 9:30 AM-3:00 PM, and will include an introduction to the AIRC, tours of campus, a student panel, lunch and networking opportunities with Native staff & faculty! Later on, we will leave campus together for dinner at 5:45 PM. 
  • On Friday 09/20, we will wrap up NSO with a self-care workshop, and a meet and greet lunch with relevant student organizations and campus partners, followed by a campus walking tour! The tour will end at the dining hall where we will have dinner together around 5:00 PM.

During this time, you will have the opportunity to connect with the dedicated EOP team and learn about the support and resources available to you.
