Winter Quarter Admits

Congratulations on your admission into one of the top recognized universities in the world, the University of California Santa Cruz! We hope that you are well and safe. We look forward to engaging and supporting you during this exciting time!

Students admitted for winter quarter should plan to speak directly with the department and college advisors prior to enrolling for classes. After you submit your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) with Admissions, you will receive a detailed email message from orientation@ucsc.edu with important information. Enroll for Classes

You may begin enrolling in classes online during your "enrollment appointment" time, which will be visible to you in your MyUCSC student portal. Your enrollment appointment time will be scheduled for sometime after November 14; check your MyUCSC portal after November 7 to confirm your enrollment appointment – MARK YOUR CALENDAR! You will receive more information from your advisors prior to your enrollment time.

Fully complete the online winter Orientation Course to help you prepare for your enrollment appointment, plan your first quarter and beyond, and learn about important academic and social resources. Submit your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) to the Admissions Office. You will have access the winter Orientation Course via canvas.ucsc.edu after October 16.

Campus Closure

UCSC offices will close for the winter break from December 24 to January 1.

We recommend that you complete all communication with advisors, Admissions Office, Registrar’s Office, Financial Aid and Scholarships Office, etc. prior to December 1, or as early as possible.
