Optional On-campus Program

What is the Optional On-Campus Program?

Attending an on-campus orientation program is optional. The program provides new UC Santa Cruz students and family members an opportunity to learn about your campus, meet other new students, meet Orientation Leaders (who are current UCSC students), learn to navigate the campus, and in general have a fun time!

Optional on-campus programs will be offered between July 8-11. Spaces are limited. Spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Is there a fee to attend?

Yes, there is a fee to attend the optional on-campus program.

    • Student fee: $175
    • Family member fee: $110 each (one additional person per student)

  • The optional on-campus Orientation is a one-day program. Be prepared to learn about our beautiful campus, meet staff and students, and have fun.
  • Bring comfortable walking shoes, you will spend a lot of time walking.
  • Note: This program does not include any class enrollment or advising information. 
  • Follow your confirmation email instructions for actual arrival times.
