Photos for student IDs; government issued ID required along with Student ID number. Card received at the time of service.  Also, open to all replacements, exchanges, and make-ups. Students living ON campus who took their photo at Summer Orientation may pick up their IDs at their college of residence during Move In. Students living OFF campus who took their ID photo at Summer Orientation may pick up their IDs at their college of affiliation’s Housing Office starting on September 18. Consult your college's Welcome Week Guide or contact your college Housing Office for location and hours.

To activate your card bring your UCSC Student ID card to the main desk and let them know you want to activate your card account. Your ID is your library card, and it takes just a minute!

Visit “Dorm Central” at the Bay Tree Bookstore to equip your new living quarters with all you need to move in! From dorm fridges and microwaves to lamps, bedding and housewares. Select posters to decorate your room. Speak with local vendors and merchants. Register to vote, buy your Boardwalk Frolic ticket, look at special computer deals for UC students, and more.

University Library Tours
McHenry Library: 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m.  (Meet just inside the library entrance for the tour)
Science & Engineering Library: 1:00pm (Meet just inside the library entrance for the tour)
Tours are led by the Library’s crew of Roving Information students. Featured are the Global Village Café, the Information Commons for online research and study, the Digital Scholarship Commons, Special Collections & Archives, group study rooms, outdoor reading porches, and much more! You will also learn about the library’s services and collections, such as borrowing course textbooks and Chromebooks and iPads, and the video game room (at the Science & Engineering Library). Tours run approximately 30 minutes.

Residential Network (ResNet)
